Who runs this website?

This website is run by TechD, the Tech Directorate of NUS College Club (NUSCC). It is used by NUSCC events to send out tickets to attendees as QR codes, and to check them in on the day of the event.

What information is collected about you?

The event's organizers choose which response-form columns to upload as ticket data. Columns chosen for their private identity map stay on their computer, alongside the generated ticket ID. Other columns are ignored. The website does not automatically remove personal data; what it stores depends on the organizers' choices.

This website stores a randomly generated ticket identity (for example, coral-otter-lantern-145) and only the answers the organizers chose to keep for running the event, such as your meal choice, additional meals, dietary restrictions, halal requirement and allergies. When your QR code is scanned, it also records the time you were checked in.

Why is this information needed?

Your email is used by the organizers to send you your ticket. On the day of the event, your QR code is used to verify your ticket, together with the answers kept for the event, such as your meal type if the event has food. Your information is only used for running the event that you signed up for, and not for anything else.

Why did I get an email from TechD?

Your ticket is sent to the email address that you gave in the event's response form. The email will appear to come from an @nusc.club address, and it includes a link to this privacy policy.

Who can see your information?

Only organizers, such as the committee of the event that you signed up for and TechD, can see your ticket and the answers kept for the event. We do not sell it, and we do not give it to anyone else. The services that we use to run the website (Neon.com for storing data, Amazon SES for sending emails) only handle your information for these purposes.

How is your information kept safe?

The ticket and its answers are stored on Neon.com, a database service operated by Databricks. It follows industry standard data-security practices.

On top of this, TechD is running our own encryption layer on the database. The answers kept for your ticket are encrypted, so a copy of the database does not reveal them. Columns assigned only to the organizers' private identity map are not uploaded. Uploaded ticket answers may include personal data selected by the organizers.

How long is your information kept for?

Your information will be automatically deleted 30 days after the event that you signed up for has concluded. Organizers also have access to delete all data any time before that.

Can you see, change or delete your information?

Yes, you can contact nuscctechteam@gmail.com to see, delete or change your data.
